Monseratte Sanctuary
Monserrate is 3,190 m above sea level. This is one of the peaks in the mountain range flanking the city to the east. It is easily recognizable by the church crowning its top, called The Sanctuary of Monserrate. This is a place of pilgrimage because inside there is a magnificent statue of Christ called "El Señor Caído de Monserrate".
The Sanctuary can be reached by a funicular railway and a cable car.
Historic Center
The city center preserves all the history, a good part of the government buildings, and Bogota’s best cultural attractions: colonial architecture, museums, historic monuments, libraries and archives.
Zipaquira Salt Catholic Cathedral
The Zipaquira Salt Catholic Cathedral is considered the first wonder of Colombia, if you are in Bogota, you must not miss this architectural wonder. The spiritual and magical place will be unforgettable for you. The tour is designed to go in the morning and to come back in the afternoon. During the tour you will see places like the main square and the bridge of Zipaquirá among others.
Gold Museum
The museum, a modern building situated on the corner of Carrera 6 and Calle 16, houses a collection of more than 36,000 pieces of gold work, representing the myths and beliefs of the mayor pre-Columbian cultures in Colombia.
Most of the gold is displayed in a huge black room on the top floor - a breathtaking sight. There are hundreds of precious pieces of astonishing beauty. It makes it unique in the world.
National Capitol
National Capitol is a building on Bolivar Square in central Bogotá, the construction of which began in 1876, by order of president Tomás Cipriano de Mosquera, and was not concluded until 1926. It houses both houses of the Congress of Colombia. It was designed and started its construction by Thomas Reed.
Casa de Hacienda Santa Bárbara
This shopping center was built within a large country mansion, with colonial architecture, arches, stone floors and fountains. This elegant center with more than 370 spacious shops offers all of the facilities of a mall with a charming colonial atmosphere surrounded by trees and green vegetation.
